Questions about profile health score?
Discovry checks: business name, primary and secondary categories, business description, services list, products, hours (regular and special), phone number, website URL, photos (count and recency), attributes, Q&A entries, and post recency. Each is weighted by its measured impact on local search visibility.
The score is a weighted percentage — fields with higher ranking impact count for more. A missing primary category or empty services section pulls the score down more than a missing secondary attribute. The weights are based on published local SEO research and observed ranking correlations.
Scores update weekly. When you make changes to a GBP profile — add photos, expand the services list, fill in the description — the next weekly scan picks them up and the score improves.
On the Agency plan, the health report is included in the white-label monthly client report. Clients see their score, the improvement since last month, and the top remaining recommendations — without seeing the Discovry branding.
Profiles scoring above 85% have all the high-impact fields filled in and are well-positioned for ranking. 60–85% means there are meaningful gaps worth addressing. Below 60% usually indicates the profile was set up minimally and never fully optimized — these profiles typically see the biggest ranking gains from a full optimization pass.
